You are invited to attend the 52nd Annual Meeting of the N.C. Tomato Growers Association and “Winter Vegetable Conference” to be held Wednesday and Thursday, February 19– 20, 2020. The conference program reflects growers’ needs covering many aspects of production, business management, and marketing. We hope that you take advantage of this opportunity to learn about current issues associated with vegetables and take time to visit with the representatives from agricultural companies and other businesses that support our industry.

The program committee has put together an excellent educational program including topics but not limited to: Practical Food Safety Advice, Vegetable Weed Control Programs, On-Farm Readiness Reviews, Managing Western Flower Thrips, Direct Marketing, Organic and Conventional Spray Schedules for Tomatoes, Grafted Tomatoes with Late Blight Resistance for Organic Production, Tomato Variety Improvements, NC Farm Link Program, and Growing Hemp Scholarships – available for new and beginning farmers. Let one of the Extension contacts know if you are interested.

Wednesday, February 19 – Registration and Trade Show will open at 8:30 a.m. Regular educational sessions begin at 1 p.m.

Thursday, February 20 – Registration and trade show opening at 8:30 a.m. Educational sessions will begin at 9 a.m.

The conference will conclude with a sponsored banquet and awards luncheon.

Registration: $40.00 if before January 31, 2020; after and at the door $50.00.
