Strawberry Dehydration Class (In Person at N.C. Cooperative Extension, Rockingham County Center)

April 5th, 5:30 p.m.

Strawberry

Participants will learn the basics of dehydrating and drying and get hands on experience dehydrating strawberries.

This workshop is designed for anyone interested in safely drying food at home. This hands-on class will cover basics of drying, including safety and how to prepare dehydrated foods such as jerky, fruit leathers ,and dried herbs.

Blueberry Jam Class (In Person at N.C. Cooperative Extension, Rockingham County Center)

May 17th 5:30 p.m.

Participants will learn the basics of water bath canning.

This workshop is designed for anyone interested in learning more about safely canning food at home. This hands-on class will cover basics of water bath canning, including items that can be preserved this way, as well as what equipment is needed and how to use it.
