NC A&T State University Specialist will cover at this workshop the following topics:
High tunnel basics
High tunnel crops choices and management
Water and nutrient management (including plastic mulch and drip irrigation)
NRCS high tunnel cost share program
Tour of Farm with High Tunnel
Registration starts at 8:30am with coffee and light refreshments. Program will begin at 9:00am and will end at NOON. Lunch is included with your registration fee and will be served at NOON and followed with a farm tour. You can register for this event by calling 828-649-2411 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. The cost is $10/person. You can pay by cash or check (made payable to Madison County Extension). When registering please let us know of any dietary needs, as well as, if you are plan to participate in the farm tour after lunch.

10 mistakes to avoid when transferring the farm
Land transfer and management
This workshop will provide critical information to farmers and landowners who are preparing a change in future land ownership. The guest speaker Guido van der Hoeven, an Extension Specialist and senior lecturer at NC State with over thirty years of experience helping farm and timber landowners with taxes. He will be ready to answer any specific questions you may have.
