Description: One of the primary concerns of landscape companies in today’s economy is recruiting and hiring new employees. There are legal challenges that need to be met and concepts to follow. This class will address those challenges and provide a combination of lecture, video, and group discussion to look at the issues of legal employee recruitment. We will also look at the pros and cons of hiring various nontraditional employees. 

CREDITS EARNED
• 2 hours have been approved for B Business Credits for Landscape Contractors.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION
We are now accepting online registration and payment for all Green Industry Certification Programs through Eventbrite.

Cash or checks (made payable to NC State University) will be accepted at the door. You must first pre-register by emailing cliff_ruth@ncsu.edu

Last Chance Landscape Contractor Day 
We will be offering four classes in this series. You can choose to participate in all of the classes or they can each be taken independently based on your needs.

1. Controlling Critters in the Landscape and on the Farm
2. Glyphosate - Choosing the Alternatives 
3. Employee Recruitment Concepts and Laws
4. Chainsaw Safety Principles (this class is on a different day than the others)
