Do you want to learn how to train your own dog? Are you interested in learning how to show your dog? Join us for the Madison County 4-H Dog Project at The Meadow Ranch!
Youth will learn how to communicate better with their dog, be a better dog handler, train their dog in obedience, and practice dog showmanship.

Open to 4-H members ages 8-18, first come, first-served.- Sign up in 4-H Online through Events.
- Complete the 4-H Dog Health Form & Acknowledgement of Rules (Download PDF). NOTE: Rabies vaccination must be up to date and dogs must be free of infectious disease and parasites. Form must be signed by a veterinarian.
Youth are responsible for bringing their own dog. There are no age or breed restrictions, however, your dog must not show any signs of aggression toward people or animals.
Practices:
Practices will be held on Thursdays from 4:30–6 p.m., beginning August 11. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at each meeting. The first meeting on Thursday, August 11, and the final Dog Show on Thursday, September 22, are mandatory! To gain the full educational benefit, children are expected to attend every week and may miss no more than one practice.- August 11 - Orientation and first practice
