Canning season is right around the corner! Are you ready to preserve your over-abundance of harvest for later use?
New to canning or an experienced canner? Whatever your situation, join us in this hands-on workshop as we learn how to safely pressure-can, which must always be used with low-acid foods. Participants will learn what supplies are needed to preserve food at home, how to identify a tested recipe, how to determine which foods require pressure canning versus hot water bath processing, how to adjust for altitude, how to prepare foods, jars and lids for canning and when to acidify foods.
