Hello, Madison County 4-Hers!

For any of you who would like to gain hands-on experience with livestock while learning about animal husbandry, the dairy industry, the life cycle of cattle, and show preparation, consider joining the 4-H dairy heifer project.

The project is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, August 20th, 2024, and will run every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM until the show at the Madison County Fair on Saturday, September 28th, 2024. This project is for 4-Hers ages 10-18, and is a wonderful opportunity for youth who would like to gain some hands-on experience with livestock animals. This project is free for those who would like to be involved, and does not require a barn, pasture, or facilities at home.
