  • Meetings: The 4-H WHEP group will meet twice per month on the second and fourth Mondays from 5:30-7:00, plus a few field trips, until the 4-H State WHEP Contest in May (date TBA).
  • Cost: $20, includes all meetings, local day trips, and t-shirt. There may be additional travel expenses for the state contest or a special field trip. Scholarships are available!
The 4-H WHEP Group will learn about North Carolina wildlife, including common wildlife species, their habitat needs, and how to asses and create management plans for wildlife habitat. The WHEP program includes outdoor and classroom hands-on learning activities, including fun field trips to bring the learning to life! The group is limited to 10 participants.

You can learn more about the 4-H WHEP Program at the 4-H forestry website.
